Dear
friends, after sending details about
Budget
Himalaya Treks 2015
circular
other day, there seems to be lot of confusion amongst our participants .
Several
queries I received are
1) Whether these Budget Treks separate treks, different from the original one
2)
These budget treks are organized by any other organization other than Eco Treks
?
3)
If Eco Treks itself is organizing these treks then why different pricing
?.
4)
Whether the Itinerary is different...? and if so why...?
5)
With such a low budget whether the quality is affected...?
6)
Why is it that the trek is organized from Base camp to Base camp ? And how
should we reach there ?
7)
Who will take our responsibility during trekking period ?
8)
Is the actual trekking period is reduced ?
In order to clear doubts about all this , please read my explanations.... still in doubt.. then please call me. When I had posted our original plans about Hampta Pass & Mani Mahesh Trek in May 2015 on 11th December 2014, giving all details including the Trek fee, many of the participants started asking me about the fee we charge. According to them, they were feeling that our charges are much more and it was taxing their budget. One or two even hinted to me saying that we as a trekkers... why we need to travel by Ac. Train, Volvo Bus or stay in a hotel. Some of them started comparing our rates with some other organizations.
Good enough, as you all know that we give the detail accounts of every Rupee we charge and spend... for local as well as Himalaya treks.....still people are having doubts in their mind we feel. Equally well, for Himalaya treks participants.... they get their respective refunds according to the centres they report or sign off. Only one option we had not offered so far was that if any one wants to directly report and sign off to/from base camp to base camp. Keeping in mind in order to accommodate those participants also , we have come out with this budget trek option.
My dear friends, answer to your question no -
1) Is... No.. they are not a separate trek, they are the same one.
2) Since they are not separate treks , naturally they are organized
by Eco Treks Goa itself.
3) Different Pricing..... Usually Eco treks organize Himalayan Treks
starting from Goa to Goa ,which includes expenses of Rail, Road travel, hotel
stay, leaders fee etc. Plus Trek fee which we have to pay in advance. For the
Budget Trek, participants should carry all that burden of travel & stay on
their own and only has to pay Trek fee.
4) Different itinerary .... Yes it has to be.... although the trek is same, but to be there for the trek we have to start early and also return late. That’s how the starting and finishing dates are different.
5) Quality...? No compromise on quality . All the participants, once they report at the base camp till they sign off will be treated equal and will get the same treatments, guidance and opportunities.
6) Whether it is IMF or others , all the Himalayan treks are organized where the reporting is done from base camp to base camp. In these treks It is Eco Treks Goa takes care of taking you from Goa to Goa. We also accommodate those participants who either report half way by refunding their travel expenses of the leg they have not travelled with us. For the budget trek it is very much clear that the participants has to manage their own bookings.
7) Responsibility during trek...... Absolutely our responsibility... restricted between base camp to base camp.
8) No trekking period is reduced.... You find the itinerary is short because it gives only actual trekking calendar.
Hope every thing is clear ...... still in doubt...?
